Allay the jaded Wizard

How much, is the wizard more important than the blacksmith or hero in the story, and why is evil at the king’s side? I was wondering about it, and you may not use these rules in your story, but when does evil get too much? I am researching time travel in my story - because someone gave me the idea - and the slip when asked about it. Does evil take you along a separate path, then take you along a different path when you get back?

So, two issues: the wizard seems to know all about it, the king is a bit slow. Romance comes into it, and the hero has to make a choice to follow the blacksmith next time to improve the timeline. The sequel, is where he does a different timeline, again.

The blacksmith is just looking out for his son. The wizard is looking out for the king. One created the AI. The other has to deal with it. But whom.

This is put in research, but I am not sure what the question is. It reads like you are trying to introduce your story. Are you asking a question with this?

Agreed. Something like 'why is evil at the king's side' is either a deeply abstract philosophical question, or else it's something specific to a particular story. In the former case, its Chit Chat fodder; in the latter case, it's a question that can only be answered by the author.

There's a third possibility, which that the question is not clearly stated. In that case we can ask the OP to clarify and elaborate.
