Saw the movies but didn't recall the name. The movies didn't leave much of an impression on me, I'm afraid.

Which I guess may illustrate a point. An author may believe they've been original but really they simply don't recognize the reference. Or, an author may know their title or word or idea or whatever has been used before, but that doesn't mean the reader will.

Nope, Star Wars left a serious “meh” impression with me, outside of the IV-VI, which are actually 1-3, which they could have happily stopped at. All but Rogue One has blended into the uncountable number of movies I’ve watched and ore or less forgotten.
