D.I.D/SPLIT Personality... but your other persona is a hyper intellegent python...

So, in my WIP all humans were hybridized with animals long ago, this resulted in them though remaining mainly human sharing a body and mind with those animals. A main is Marix, a reticulated python hybrid. Over time, the animal part became far more clever and evolved in a way in the human minds gaining a feirceness and intellect beyond a normal or mere animal. This often can look like DID or SPLIT in the APEXES as their animal components are very very powerful and intelligent and can make deals with the human half for time "at the wheel" or even forcibly take over.

What I am trying to figure is, How would talking to the snake look vs talking to the human. From one of the other mc's you get that they notice a significant behavior and tone shifted, the snake has a sleek soft high toned charming voice but some part of it is hypnotic and terrifying it feels wrong, the snake also is more charismatic than the man and is much more political and cunning, if it uses force it strikes which such a brutality and lack of hesitation that its... welll... inhuman. Vs the human where the vocie is deep and calm, rational, controlled, he is often good at strategy, planning, action, and the boring day to day (this never holds the snakes attention and lack of action makes it go dormant)

Well...hypnotizing would be the word I would go for, and you already did.

I might add some slow, repetitive motions, and some quality to the eyes that seemed to keep people from looking away. Hypnotists tend to win trust by mimicking the words and body language of others, and slowly introduce their own suggestions. In a state of trust, the snake would gain a lot of power.

That was the clip I was thinking of when I read the OPs description of the snake, lol.

to the OP:
It sounds like you have decided on some significant differences between the two parts of this character. One way to really bring out the differences is to draft each bit of dialogue twice as though each of the human and snake are delivering them. They will use different wording, vocabulary. Does the snake use a surfeit of soft S sounds, suggesting sibilant speech?

Haha, depends on how it/he wants to come across. Generally not unless he is very peeved about something in which case the snake has a pathetically low impulse control.

This is such a cool concept! For the snake, lean into that hypnotic, unsettling charm sibilant speech, smooth cadence, and a tone that feels off but alluring. Maybe it uses fewer words, each one loaded with intent, and its movements are deliberate, almost predatory. The human half could contrast with a grounded, methodical tone deeper, slower, and more measured. The snake’s charisma and brutality vs. the human’s calm rationality creates a fascinating dynamic. Love the tension here!

This is such a cool dynamic! The contrast between the human and snake halves is already super vivid—here’s how I’d sharpen it even more:

Snake Marix:
-Voice: Smooth, sibilant (hissing undertones?), almost too melodic—like a lullaby that makes your instincts scream. Maybe words drag slightly ("Yes, let’s discuss this...").
- Speech Patterns: Indirect, circling conversations like constricting prey. Uses flattery, rhetorical questions, and pauses to unnerve people. ("*Do you really think that’s wise... or are you just hoping I’ll agree?")
- Body Language: Unblinking eye contact, slow movements, sudden strikes (verbal or physical). Might tilt head like a snake sizing up a meal.

Human Marix:
- Voice: Grounded, measured—think military strategist or surgeon. Fewer inflections, more blunt.
- Speech Patterns: Direct, efficient. Gets impatient with "pointless" social maneuvering. ("*We need X done by Y. Can you handle it?")
- Body Language: Stillness reads as control, not threat. Tense when the snake stirs (clenched jaw, white-knuckled grip).

Bonus Tension Idea: The snake could mock the human’s speech sometimes ("Oh, don’t be boring, darling"), or the human’s voice drops mid-sentence when forcing the snake back under.
