Dreamer
I wrote this story from a first person perspective through the eyes of two different people, a husband and a wife, switching between the two scene by scene. The purpose of this was to describe the emotions and feelings through both as they experience the shared happiness, hardships, and eventual demise. It's a tragic story of deep, devoted love and how it fares through unexpected misfortune; of how even the strongest bonds can become unstable, troubled and broken.
Downfall of a Dream is set in a world of my own creation, but there is no need to delve any deeper into it with this story. It can be enjoyed completely as a stand-alone piece.
