It took me like five hours but I played around in Canva and made a video with a narrated excerpt from An Allure Everlasting, my elven romance novel, currently undergoing the editing scalpel:

It was pretty fun. I might do a couple more chapters!

A most credible court; all is well for everyone who stands only to benefit from the practical deeds and decisions unfolding, against which the workings of the king's heart mean little indeed. In history and story both it's an intriguing conflict, simultaneously proper and often necessary for the prosperity and survival of a kingdom, and also utterly wrong from an individualist point of view. The prospect of a lifetime of (at best) grudging tolerance between two married rulers becomes that much more grim when an elven lifespan is considered.
I'm rambling as I often do, but suffice it to say, it was a fine excerpt to listen to.
