Friendly Reminder for fellow Switch/Switch 2 Gamers.

I know this is gonna be a rare instance around here, but this should hold true for all consoles but it's especially true for switch/switch 2.

Go through your old OLD save data and delete them.

I'm talking like, demos etc kind of ones, start with those.
Then delete the stuff you know you aren't touching again period.

I did this last night and freed a good 10 GB of data on my switch 2's system memory.

I realize this isn't a lot, but it's a good amount for the switch.

Good advice, but I think my switch days are over. Play Station 2 used to have a similar issue. Does anyone still use that?
You'd be surprised, some people (mostly old game collectors) still love playing old games on the actual hardware. I'd try it if I had the extra money for it. And we've discussed my monthly budget in other threads I think. If Not. bout $150 a month, sometimes extra depending. But that's 'total' as in all my hobbies, not just games.

I would especially like to try the old PS1 / PS 2 stuff, but that'd require finding A: a working CRT B: A place for it and C: A working console that won't break the banks. Though is usually the games / Memory card stuff that will run you a pretty penny. Most NES Consoles still work. (I say most cause there's always some outliers) SEGA Genisis still work most of the time. Gamecubes are pretty hardy little things also.

I didn't think I'd ever fill up my 250 Gig Micro Express SD card. But the games I collect on disk are like 8-16 Gigs each so it goes quick.
The dream would be to get a 1TB one and never have to upgrade again but those suckers for the switch 2 are like $500 :cautious:

I'm old enough to remember PC's used to have similar issues. Heck, I'm old enough to remember not actually being able to save games since you had no internal hard disk and playing a game like Civilization or Rail Road Tycoon to the end just meant you had to keep your computer running the whole weekend... (or alternatively, you got 3 save slots or a random string of letters/numbers to restore a saved game).
