I's say:
Lame implies something that works but not as well as it should, that might make it boring if its purpose was entertainment
Tame is more lacking in any element of danger, or even surprise.
A Feud is an argument between collectives - families, companies, countries - typically over longer periods of time than an argument
Matching items need not be the same, only that they go together in some way which may vary with context
Patching is adding a new piece to an older object to restore its previous functioning; a renovation is improving an item through replacing part(s) or adding to the original.
An impulse is characterised by brevity - rapid onset and short duration - and need not be strong;
