I wanted to start a thread for people curious about buying a specific book, but are on the fence about getting it. Maybe they're waiting to hear an interesting review or just want to hear from other people if the book is worth reading. I've been hearing some good things about Katherine Addison's book The Goblin Emperor. It's a recent release, so I'm not sure if anyone here has read it yet, but I'd love to hear what you thought of it if you have.
Here's a pretty good review that convinced me to ask more about it. My To Be Read Pile is already humongous, but I like to keep my eye on books that might be worth getting.
