Hi there,

I'm Andy. I'm 38 and live with my partner near Edinburgh.
I run a fiction editing business called The Narrative Craft (developmental editing and line editing), and I'm in the middle of writing a social SF MG novel.
I'm into fantasy too and write short stories.

In a previous career, I worked as a cultural anthropologist and I'm a published non-fiction author.
That puts me in a good place to field questions about worldbuilding (esp. cultural and political worldbuilding), so ask away!

My goal for 2023 is:

First four months: self-edit the skeleton draft of my WIP
Second four months: Send it to a developmental editor for feedback
Last four months: Action the feedback and get ready for querying in 2024!

It's a great country! So many amazing landscapes and castles that could easily feature in a fantasy novel
