he was a known, cynocephalus, the cynocephalus were dog headed people who were incapable of human speech but due to some saints they venerate st christopher he was treated as a very respected saint of the cynocephali who when they write or preach through barking in their culture due to one thing they have a mutus soul,it makes htem incapable of talking as the soul also connects to the curse of Cain being. which was because of Cain committing the first murder it caused the the cynocephaly to become incapable of human speach meaning they are the descendants of Cain which meant his own bloodline had been cursed with the incapability of speech but this wouldn't mean they be rejected of salvation but mean they'd have to choose to follow Christ.
now for Jorslav, he was a Christian, of eastern orthodoxy in medieval ages, was a cynocephalus in the medieval era, he's lived his life with his tribe of cynocephaly, as when he did trade with different groups he'd traded with humans who had helped with his people develop as a kingdom so when the cynocephaly became a large kingdom he'd become a strong warrior to protect the people, which allowed him to become also a gladiator within the kingdom of cynocephaly, meaning whenever he wants, to fight the cynocephaly would do it as a form of tradition but also do it in a form of showing great strength power and endurance as they are capable of ripping to shreds humans, who are weaker than him, which he can do damage to an opponent when throwing punches or clawing at an opponent or even chopping someone in half with a sword with just one simple slash. so for years he'd train fight grow in strength, to protect the innocent, in honor nonmatter what.
the other benefits, the cynocephali have is the ability to breathe fire, communicate with birds thanks to some ancestry of connecting to ancient Greece and Rome, trading with other cultures as they had traded their spices, they even have skills in crafting strong weapons tools etc.

one unique thing jorslav has is a thing called the mark of endurance, this ability is a blessing from God when he went into the monastary,to pray to the lord for great strength,why cause he wanted to endure the most damage,from enemy tribes,meaning their was enemies who wanted to kill his people which was something he geniunely wanted,to do as a honorable warrior so when God answered he blessed him with the mark of endurance which anytime he's in battle he'll always endure the most pain,even with no armor, so if he's impaled, cut stabbed or even burned he'll endure it nonmatter what.
