Another social media recluse.... I know this is also a social medium but you all know what I mean...
It was my 'outlet' but since a few years I have two big targets on my back and especially the big facebook became scary. Not 'the algorithms' that are so easy to blame but they are aimed at people. And people are not for me. But I need them. Yes, for the insiders, I have 'that label everybody knows' and nobody really does... I don't, professionals don't. It is a part of me and the 'pervasive' means it becomes part of everything I do but it will not be an active part of my fictional world.
To survive 'in the real world' I am trying some hobbies. Weaving seems to be the one sticking for a while. Have to keep myself from saying 'not good at it' but just not that experienced yet. I live with two small poodles and one sister.
The important writing bit... It is mostly stuff in my head and parts have been lingering around since Highschool. I used to imagine stories with my sister (a 'nano' writer) but our worlds are now too distant to really 'play' in them together. I like building the world but without an audience it just feels lonely. The bit I hope to solve by joining.
My world (as far as it is already 'officially' designed) is fantasy but closer to John Flanagan than Tolkien. Aim high... but really more in feel. No fan fiction but to give an idea about the target audience and required 'realness' to pull it off. "There be trolls" most creation is focussed on them, their traditions and living amongst regular people.
I do use AI but not for real writing. To bounce ideas. Talking to it helps me think and organize.
