Longtime lurker here. Finally introducing myself.

Call me Nicholas. I'm a 24-year-old college student pursuing my associate's degree equivalent. I write mostly speculative fiction, which includes urban fantasy, and thrillers. My works feature grounded worldbuilding, ambiguous endings, and stories that sit at the intersection of realism and speculation.

I tend to revisit themes such as systemic failure, national mythmaking (or its absence), the intersection of technology and society, and forgotten/erased histories. I’m less interested in chosen ones and more interested in institutions, incentives, and what people do when there are no clean solutions.

My work tends to be grounded, a bit bleak, and focused on cause-and-effect rather than wish fulfilment. Expect procedural, social, political and institutional realism, or my best attempt at them, as well as the view of the world from the Singaporean promontory.

Right now, I’m working on a few projects ranging from short fiction to longer-form narratives.
I’m here to learn, exchange feedback, and improve my craft. Looking forward to reading everyone’s work and contributing where I can.
