Now, once in a while, a vampire actually skips a generation, and an idiot is the result.

One day, Jasper actually thought that having a picket fence would have been a brilliant and safe way of sealing off the entrance to his crypt. However, he did realize that picket fences have gaps. When strips of his body started to burn away, with the ashes falling to the floor of his crypt, he suddenly thought that maybe today was not going to have a happy ending.

its as it comes to me each death of the vampire he is stuck in a perpetual loop where after every death he wakes up in the morning in one piece completely healed ok still undead
