I had been trying to work my wooden boy into my fiction WIP. It is about magical animals that the Eden Corporation hunts down stopped by Canaan Enterprises. It is a new colony, and the atmosphere there is not conducive to air travel, so they land probes to bring forth lava, because it is also primarily a water planet.

The contention is that the animals are hunted for their magical properties. It brings in Genesis as the reason for the failure of the home world, and why this second colony is so warlike, in their ravaging of their third planet.

Currently there is a stingray that seems to be the ringleader of the water world hierarchy, but there is a power that the home world has that had turned a puppet into a living being. It is heralded as the messiah with the intentions of garnering the trust of the fish, in curing of all ailments and bringing forth Genesis to the courts.

What is interesting for me is why this puppet would have so much power. It is clear that the second world is warlike because they have Genesis not in their plans to begin with but I started questioning it when they had no history. The Eden Corporation wish to hunt animals of the third world to their benefit, whilst Canaan Enterprises wishes to stop the hunt for the benefit of Genesis, but they are both warlike and progressive.

Is this trying to follow the life of someone in the Bible? The place names are somewhat biblical.

Are you asking why the puppet would have so much power? or just musing about it?

Maybe there is something divine behind the puppet.

I was musing. The puppet came into the story as a backdrop for plotline. I had the idea sort of roll around in my head as a strategy RPG, but it became a story when the places and names took hold of me. The Bible is not mentioned just four elements so there is a mix and match when it comes to similarities because that is called plagiarism.
