Greetings from a Newbie,
You may be wondering about the title for my intoduction thread and I will blame the profile screen for creating the confusion within my own mind.
Words are wonderful and yet sometimes their meaning can just lay beyond our conscious horizon. I saw the field marked hobbies only for the word Pyromaniac to rip its way forward when I actually was considering Pyrotechnic. The confusion is simple, one being a love of fires and starting them, the other a love of fireworks and starting them.
I have searched thru many forums and the vibe this place generated has been infectious enough for me to join up and put my virtual pen to paper.
I've been having an affair with the Mistress of Words and Imagination these past three years in an attempt to put a story long held into something more substantial than just a daydream. I find myself currently in the first throes of editing the hell out of my work, a somewhat liberating yet dour endeavour. Then again, I have been a tad verbose (the liberation) but ripping half a million words of fantasy into something more digestible is formidable.
Oh well, another chapter has been cleaned whilst listening to some Talk Talk, Jeff Buckley and Coldplay.
The journey truly begins. Hallelujah!
