Sfwa?

Hi folks,

I recently made SFWA- YAY! And I'm already feeling like I'm floundering about . Any one on here and on there have some tips? And has anyone been to the Nebula Convention? (you don't need to be SFWA but I never heard of it before). I've got my my ticket!

If you mean the Nebula Award Weekend I have only been once and it is pretty good. Just be yourself and talk and socialize with people the way you would anywhere else.

Are you a nominee?

Also, the organization itself can be quite political. If that isn't too your taste enjoy the benefits and avoid trying to hold a position there.

Hi Russ,

No, I have submitted one of my books, but someone else would have to nominate me- but I'm not expecting much . It's funny, I'd been reading about the issues SFWA has had in the last few years, but so far haven't seen much of it *knocks on wood*. I'm looking forward to the conference, hopefully by then I'll feel more at ease in their forums.
