So a general rule about Poke'mon...

Is that Pokeballs (The device used to capture them, they aren't explicitly called just that as there's different styles of them) don't work on humans, ever. It's actually been used as a joke a couple of times. (And one of those times was in a somewhat creepy way that for some reason everyone fell in love with)

But here's the thing.

In my story, I have humans spliced with pokemon DNA (Sometimes to the point of genetic/physical transformation, for example we discussed construction workers taking a 'shot of machoke' earlier a while ago) and some Pokemon with Human dna (Who become much more human when evolved, especially if their evolved form was already human like. Such as Lucario) for the reader's (and characters) sanity, it IS easy to tell the difference.

Was wondering if it'd be funny to have that suddenly 'work' but like, not. Like you could technically 'capture' them but they wouldn't become 'tamed' if that makes sense?

It'd be a funny way to contain human/pokemon hybrid criminals until they learn to become law abiding citizens. I'm debating using this idea in any non-joke capacity, but I'm still curious what ya'll think.
