The Navigator's Children

Incanus

I'm about halfway through this book, which was released last month.

If it keeps up like it has so far (and by all accounts, it does), this will turn out to be one of the very best fantasy novels of all time. Obviously, it only makes sense to read it if you've read the previous books in the series.

It's quite impressive. I wish I had skills like Mr. Williams.

Is anyone else tackling this?

I haven't started it yet but I've got all other books in the two Osten Ard series. Once I acquire this one I'm ready to go.

Nice!

Since I couldn't quite tell--have you read all the books so far? Or are you just acquiring them, and will read them when you have them all?

In my view, the first two books of the newer series were my least favorite overall, but these last two books have been amazing. I'll re-read the whole thing before long--maybe it will seem to fit together better by then.

Also, I recommend the two smaller Osten Ard books that have come out in recent years. Both of those are quite good.

Cheers!

I've read "Memory, Sorrow and Thorn" many years ago but when I found out about this new series I got hold of them in a new edition, again as I don't have the old books with me any more, along with the book "Heart of What Was Lost" and the books "Witchwood Crown", "Empire of Grass" and "Into the Narrowdark". So once I've aquired "The Navigator's Children", I'm ready to go from the start to finish. :D

I am thinking of "Brothers of the Wind" but I'm not yet sure about it. But I will probably get it because I am a completionist like that.
