Trying to remember a quote

I was vaguely remembering a quote I once read somewhere, which I think was from a book, or perhaps a movie.

It went something like "He was a man of honor and manners in a world where these things were increasingly going out of fashion."

Anyone remembering where this was and how it actually went?

I'm sorry to disappoint but all my Google skills got me was a book about Etiquette by George Washington. And some other stuff about the chivalric code. Can find nothing more specific then that.
