Right, but I personally prefer "real" magick.
...or technology BASED on magick.
What's kind of interesting (I think) in my stories is that I have a race of intelligent machines that basically view their lack of magick-casting ability as a flaw and pursue more and more dangerous technologies and physics until they are able to develop their own version of magick. It's kind of a spin on the whole "advanced technology appears like magick" in that it is "advanced technology to be able to access magick".
