Tolkien did not invent modern fantasy. In fact, the fantasy genre had already existed for YEARS maybe even DECADES before Tolkien, beginning in the form of Swords & Sorcery, and some early High Fantasy.

Yep, I'm still interested! I'm hopeless at editing myself, as I never know what to leave in and what to take out, and what to change at all. My first book pretty much needs a full re-write at this point, but I'm not sure how to approach it.
