Hi Everyone, i'm new here!

I write non-fiction, but i might be able to help with world building, i study archaeoastronomy, which means i understand astrology and astronomy
.Archaeoastronomy - Wikipedia
There are those that believe that if you pick a day when there are alignments of planets and stars, you can use the energy for alleged magic.
In history, if you have the right astronomy software you can see when people have used it in the past, and i have gone through the ages, back to the start of the Julian Calendar and the Assassination of Julius Caesar in 0044 BC.
It is interesting to see, but i would like to help with "World Building", as it all has fixed rules, throughout 2,000 years.
I hope to share it with you soon and involves Hermetic beliefs:-

I am also a paranormal investigator, i joined the alleged oldest "Ghost Club" in 1977, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Charles Dickens had been members, so i have a lot of tales to tell.

Right click on above "IMG", you should see my Membership of the Ghost Club in 1977 if you also click on "View Image", tell me if it doesn't work for you, being a new member, i'm getting used to posting picture, what is the best way to do this here?

Good to have you here.
I have used non-western star groupings and arrangements in my writing. And I use Stellararium to trace out what stars and patterns can be seen.
This is a great place to learn and share.
Leap on in and enjoy!

Hi CupofJoe,
As you have Stellarium astronomy software, i will explain secret alleged hermetic astrology magic soon regarding the brightest star in the sky, Sirius the Isis star, it is alleged that in secret society belief's that it is where souls go after death.
It isn't by chance that Sirius culminates being within one degree of True South at midnight on 1st January, as you know stars rise in the East and set in the West, and reach it's highest point at True or Due South, if you ever write a Dan Brown type book, it could be a good background material, i'm ok with you using any of my non-fiction material as i only write non-fiction, i only need a small acknowlegement to my research.
To fully understand link below, you would have to get rid of time zones when you set up Stellarium for midnight on January 1st, being New Year, this is easy to do, where ever you live, as location matters, as all that i will evenually tell on a new thread needs careful understanding of the rules of astrology magic, as when a star culminates is very important in astrology belief called the M.C..
The alleged astrology magic happened long ago, before Time Zones, therefore we have to use Local Time not Greenwich Mean Time unless you live in London, like i do, or every 15 degrees of Longitude, give or take one degree, like New York which is approx.74 degrees Longitude.
One degree of Longitude is equal to four minutes of time, but where ever you are, just set the Sun on the Nadir (Local Time) or Due South in Northern Hemisphere, or Due North in Southern Hemisphere, being area's like Australia.
Please remember that January 1st has "Summer Time" in Australia that also has to be taken off on January 1st,
In a nutshell, set up Stellarium where you live for midnight on January 1st, then move time to when the Sun is on the Nadir, this will give you "Local Time", and you will see the magical star, Sirius culminate....this wasn't by chance and is intentional by secret Hermetic astrology!

Make sure you change the time on 1st January at midnight to get "Local Time", put Sun on Nadir, True North in Northern Hemisphere, and True South in Southern Hemisphere, it will be a magical experience!
