Attachments

How do you add them? Like if someone asked you to send them something and you want to attach a pdf file or something. How do you do that? Or where do you do that?


I do know how to spell Attachment regardless of what my thread topic indicates.

I fixed the title for you, Meg.

I believe that it is possible to send attachments with vBulletin, although they are not activated at this time. I can look into this and see how to get them working, provided that they aren't a security risk.

Thanks! I posted in the forum part of a chapter and someone wants to read all of it, so I figure the easiest way was to send him a private message with an attachment.

Or if you know how to create a link to a document - then I can post a link for anyone who wants to read the full chapter. Either way, I appreciate you looking into it!

I've activated the attachments feature. Please try sending one, and let me know if it works.

Also, the limit for stored attachments is currently 1 megabyte per user, which is enough for several documents. If we need to raise this limit, we can. We'll see how things go and make adjustments accordingly.

I can't attach it to a private message (I may just be blind....but that's not unusual for me).

When I went to attach it in the showcase - my file exceeds the limit by 39kb. The max is 19.5, my file size is 58.4. It's 10 pages on a pdf file.

I appreciate all your efforts and I don't want to be chore.....

Nevermind - I could upload it as a zip file and it seems to work. Check it out and see if it works for you (I can't tell if it really works for me because I already have to doc on my computer).

Clever thinking, Meg. I was able to open the chapter without difficulty. It's beautifully written, by the way.
