Tips for Requesting a Book Review

As far as a template goes, you probably only need to change a few sentences, mostly towards the beginning and end. The basic pitch is probably going to be the same. But you do need to do it. A few minutes of effort can turn a "form letter" into a "personalized request" and a no into a yes.

That's my plan. The first paragraph needs to be something like:

Hey, I read your reviews of So and So and Such and Such. From the likes and dislikes you described, I think my book might be to your taste. It (describe strong points that fit blogger's preference).

Then go on to do a QUICK synopsis of the plot. I like Michael Sullivan's sample email that he posted with the graphics. Makes it look like you're professional.
