Yes The Crown Conspiracy is the first one (though out of print - you can get used copies of it but they are rather expensive). The six books are (in order)

In the orbit versions (which are what are for sale these days there are two books in each volume as follows:

Theft of Swords (The Crown Conspiracy & Avempartha)
Rise of Empire (Nyphron Rising & The Emerald Storm)
Heir of Novron (Wintertide & Percepilquis)

Hey Gerald - glad to hear it. I tend to write on the "light" side. I think my first book is like 93,000 words. Most are under 100,000 - but the last one is rather large 163,000 as I recall. The one thing to keep in mind is that in the currently released version they are omnibuses (omnibi ??) so there are actually two books in each volume (a realy money saver for the readers). So you can easily read 1/2 of one volume as it is a complete book then read another book then come back and read the second complete book. Some people like doing this because if you read them back to back it seems like a 600 page book but the "build...climax...resolution" is a bit screwy cuz it happens twice. To be continued....
