Flexing Your Metaphors - The Rant

Yes, me too Aidan, but too often do I see people pumping out 'colourful' ones such as these over and over and over again. I don't know why, but it is something that just makes me stop reading the story lol.

Haha. Thanks Aidan. You should get back on the saddle and try it again!

Well, this is me. The Australian sensation. Put another shrimp on the barby! smh lol. The picture was taken today before I had to take off to University to enroll in an English teaching course.

Flexing Your Metaphors - The Rant

During long hours of more than often monotonous writing, we often find ourselves flexing our metaphorical skills. We push them into any facet amongst the tangles of words that we can find. Don't. When writing a story, I find that the best reads come from the ones who do not try so hard to...

    New blood.

I'm Rob. I got an inbox from Black Dragon saying I should make an introduction, so here it is: I'm a 23 year old male from Australia. I'm a full time butcher (It's a living) and about to enroll in an English teaching course through one of the Universities via Canberra. I'm a passionate writer...

    Australians?

Thanks for the welcome. I only chanced myself by this site tonight after hitting a writers block. Travel: 101

I recommend writing about an escape from the antagonists to a certain point, then time lapsing.

    Australians?

I just sent a request to join the page. Sounds like a fantastic idea.

    Video game daydreaming

I've found that The Elder Scrolls has been the best fantasy RPG in my experience. However, since the release of TES Oblivion, the games have been dulled down and made easier so that it reaches a more small-minded audience who do not have much experience in the actual process of leveling and...

Writing what you love vs. writing what is recommended

Writing what you love could possibly turn out to be the recommendation of new writers. What I'm saying is, write what you love, don't stop writing what you love, and one day, you could turn out to be an established author. Most big time authors have always done it this way.

    Competitive writing?

I'm new here, so I'm not quite sure if it has been done/is a future plan, but maybe a bit of competition would be good for the avid writer, judged by some of the owners and moderators of this website.

    Hello, I'm Sia and new

Yeah, I'm new here too. It is my desire to get published and make money from writing, because hey! Making a living out of doing something you love is the best kind of living.
