    Last name help!

OK, this charater's last name is bugging me. I need to name him, but I can't decide on his last name. So let me introduce you to him. Alex: Full-blooded Cherokee. His wife is white, but suspects due to family lore that she has Indian blood somewhere along the line, but they haven't been...

Fantasy worlds with bearded elves **(please read the description)**

I never said they couldn't. Just that I don't like it. ;) I prefer my elves, baby faced, handsome and pretty. For me facial hair just dosent do it for me. To each their own though. I know lots of people who dig that type of look.

Fantasy worlds with bearded elves **(please read the description)**

Personally, I prefer my Elves like I prefer my vampires... Pretty, but not sparkling. ;) To that end, I dislike facial hair. Thus I prefer elves without all the fur. Orlando Bloom's portrayal of Legolas comes to mind when I picture what an elf should look like.

    What do you listen to?

Ya know, since the fire, I have found I just do not enjoy the same things I used to. Yeah I know I should prolly see a Dr. about that, but no time. I have been digging Of Monsters and Men here of late. :) Still looking for my writing grove. It's been a year with nothing more than the...

    It's been a year!

I'm so very happy to report that my PC is finally back up and running. How did it die? Well, my house blew up! Literally. Long story short, we were at work, babysitter (my dad) is a smoker, he was out on the back porch, as smoking inside is a nope nope, tossed his butt down and the ground blew...

    How will Covid-19 change fiction?

I suppose, really, a lot will depend on what happens next. We are nowhere near the end of this epidemic yet. There is still room for a lot of crazy stuff to happen. Still room for widespread death totaling in numbers we've yet to even imagine in our modern world so far removed from the black...

Earth's future super continent as setting. Help?

Eventually, the continental drift will cause the parts to rejoin, I can't remember where, but there is a simulation video I seen a few years ago that showed what that new landmass might look like. I want to say it was put out by NOAA, but I might be wrong, could have been some kid from MIT...

    Chapter Three PT 3 (Unedited)

Chapter Three pt 2 Two hours later, we pulled off the road near a lake. It was now dark, and a fog had rolled in. I made an adjustment to the nanny cam hidden within the folds of the hiking bag I had slung over my shoulder turning the night vision on. The Recorder needed new batteries soon, but...

    Chapter Three PT 2 (Unedited)

Chapter Three pt 2 Tommy glared at me as he packed the equipment and items that had been rescued into the back of the jeep. What did I do to upset him? The remainder of the ride was tense, the road, if you can call it that was broken where there was pavement, and riddled with potholes that...

    Chapter Three PT 1 (Unedited)

Chapter Three We drove along the winding road, the trees had turned various shades of red, gold, and coppery-brown. A reminder that even as humans pushed further into the heart of mother nature she would still be here fighting against us. “How long will it take to get there?” I asked Ilsa...

    Covid-19 Pandemic Thread

Devor, it's times like this when I'm so glad we moved my dad in with us a few years back. We are looking for a bigger place so we can move my partner's dad in as well. Having the grandfather's around has been wonderful, they help keep an eye on Gizmo, and teach him things we can't and we...

    Covid-19 Pandemic Thread

Thanks Aidan, it's gonna take more than a Chinese bug named after a Mexican beer to take me out, I hope. But if not, I want that on my tombstone! Lol. Stat safe kiddo. Good to see you again!

    Covid-19 Pandemic Thread

Did anyone else get the postcard this week? Wonder how much that cost to send one of those to every address in the nation? The upside, Gizmo showed interest in trying to read, we (I) have been working on sight words this week. He managed to remember 3 of the 8 we studied! If, you, & and are...
