there is no traffic from pinterest to my site, but because of this, google is shwoing my site in brand name searches on top. so it start showing my brand name on top searches for it. you can try and will see on your google. if you searchs for links from my profile. so while i did not get traffic, i get visibility

I’ve started using Pinterest more intentionally recently, mainly for promotion, and it’s been an interesting learning curve. What helped me most was getting guidance from someone experienced with setting the page up properly especially around board structure and how pins are categorized because it really does behave more like a search engine than a social platform.

For fiction, I’ve found that leaning into themes, moods, and story elements works better than trying to “sell the book” directly. Things like atmosphere, genre cues, and reader expectations seem to give Pinterest more to work with than traditional blurbs.

I’m still refining my approach, but it’s been helpful for long-term visibility rather than quick results. What kind of fiction are you writing, and are you hoping to use Pinterest more for discovery or for supporting launches?
