Hello fellow scribes!

Hello everyone,

My name is Nick, and I'm a professional voice actor and writer, working in video games and living in Los Angeles with my wife, 6-week old daughter, and our dog Rune. I currently release pieces of my own fantasy project on Substack, which is here: Letters from Abroad | Nick Thurston | Substack

I also released a fully produced audio drama, which you can listen to here (or anywhere you get podcasts): Moonsong

While I am a lover of all literature, I have had a lifelong fascination with fantasy, born of the mist-shrouded coastlands of northern california where I grew up.

I'm more than happy to share tips about professional work in video games, or read and offer thoughts on short pieces, and generally contribute where I can!

Howdy Moonsong. Sorry I missed this. Welcome here.

Sadly I dont get sound at work, but I'd love to hear the voice acting. Such a strange thing to wind up in.

Thanks, fellow... scribbler? Scrivenbler? What are some of your favorite games? I write for video games right now.
I tend to gravitate toward Nintendo (Tends to have the 'good stuff' with less of the stuff I don't like) but I like other stuff too, been branching out more as I've gotten older too.
I mostly stick to the big RPG's and honestly the shorter list would be the ones I didn't like. lol
Kinda a Fan of the Resident Evil games (Though not super comfy with the gameplay/setting so I just watch people play it, same with other games that would otherwise be too violent and have my folks wig out.) anything remotely spoopy I feel much better watching someone else play. Especially if they have a fun personality. It's fun to watch the experienced horror game players call stuff out (Spooks wise) and be correct lol

Hello everyone,

My name is Samuel, and I’m a book editor and reader who genuinely loves helping writers bring their ideas to life. I spend a lot of my time reading early drafts, giving honest (and practical) feedback, and working with authors who want to take their stories seriously.
I’m especially drawn to fiction, fantasy, drama, and character-driven stories, but I’m always open to anything with a strong voice or an interesting idea behind it.

I’ve worked with a range of writers, from first-time authors to people aiming for publication, and my focus is always the same: clear, thoughtful feedback that actually helps you improve your story, not just vague praise.
Outside of that, I’m just someone who enjoys a good story and the process of shaping one. I’m always happy to read short pieces, share insights, or just talk writing.

Looking forward to connecting with you all.
