Hi All!
Wow, after almost 6 months after finding Mythic Scribes, I've finally worked up my courage to set up the account and post something.
I'm a fantasy afficionado from Poland that has been working on his writing for the last 4 years which resulted in one full manuscript and three short stories, all set in the same "universe" of my own making. And it's a comeback of sorts as writing my own book has been my earliest of dreams as after watching and reading the Lord of the Rings, I was so blown away that I thought to myself, "that's exactly what I'd love to do!" But imagine writing a book at the age of 10! And just like that, after almost 20 years, I circled back to that dream somehow. Out of pure boredom, shortly before Covid! But it makes me so happy, creating all those stories and putting my imagination to work. It's so refreshing after a 9-5 job at a corporation (still better then when I taught in a school).
But maybe a little bit more about myself. In terms of books (surprisingly, I don't read a lot lol) I love works of Tolkien, Martin (duh), Gaiman and Glukhovsky and, you could find that weird, I'm not fond of my own countryman, Sapkowski.
While I don't read a lot, gaming is where I really sank into the fantasy genre. From the classics like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and Planescape Torment (GOAT) to newer series like Dragon's Age or the Witcher. Simply love it.
Except for that, a massive fan of football, basketball and hiking. Oh, and I play a lot of DnD with my friends and even DMed an entrire, 10 months-long campaign I partially designed!
I have to admit, writing the above was way easier than I thought and maybe, just maybe, that's a good sign. I've never been a part of any online community before but I'm excited to try here.
