Critique Exchange

Greetings Scribes!

I’ve recently completed work on my first novel, but I’ve lost all perspective on it. I would greatly appreciate someone taking an objective look at it, to help me figure out what to do with it. Mostly, I’m looking for feedback on ‘big-picture’ storytelling, not line-by-line comments.

I could offer a similar service in return, or perhaps do a line-by-line critique of a shorter work—whatever seems equitable.

The novel is my own take on a classic fantasy adventure journey. I see the story as being a mix of epic fantasy and Weird Tales of the golden age. My main influences are (for epics) Tolkien, Tad Williams, Stephen R. Donaldson, and (for old school Weird Tales) Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, Fritz Leiber, and Jack Vance.

If anyone is interested, please PM me.

Thanks
