Does anyone have an agent?

One of the threads someone said they didn't think many if any people on MS had an agent.
So I figured it was a good question to ask.

It depends on what you want and how you can get it. These days, there is more revenue getting your deal done on your own without an agent and self-pub, but some people want to go the traditional route as well. There are many unseen costs and time sinks doing it alone that someone else would handle for you in the long run if you go traditional as well.

I don't have one myself, but I don't have a strong piece to query with.

Had one, don't anymore, probably couldn't pay me enough to take one on, these days.

I guess from the lack of responses that the original thoery posted is probably true. Not many have one, if any.

I have an agent. It has it's downsides, and she's not achieved anything for me yet. But she is one of the big ones in Australia and has just started to give me some of her time so fingers crossed.
