I Lego-ed for the first time in a GOOD while, and question?

It's a lego Evee.

Honestly, I'm lowkey impressed with how Lego basically managed to revitalize itself through licensing other properties like Pokemon or Star Trek. (Even if I still miss Bionicle. That was always so cool when I was a kid.)

Have you looked at alternate builds? Some of them are crazy.
One of them uses the millennium falcon set (2024) to build a Metal Gear Rex.
I hope they make more than the 3 pokemon sets they made.
Reason? The other two available ones are $160 and $640 respectively.
Granted the $640 one is sick as hell, but I'm barely not broke enough to afford games I like lol

Wow. Last time I did legos, I discovered that sitting so long was not good for my back and neck. I am okay if they never come up again :) but my nephew...he is still young.

They make everything out of legos now. I want a life size death star.

And sadly, the last time I tried to paint miniatures, I discovered my eyes were so bad, I could not see the tiny details anymore. Getting older has a price.

Problem with legos is the cost, the sets intended for 'adults' (In other words, people over the age of 16) are often quite large in the number of pieces.
There's this big Articulated bowser statue (It makes sounds and shoots fireballs lol) I want that has a lot of cool custom pieces.
But I think it's like over a thousand pieces and costs like $350
This Eevee one I got was only $60 + Tax/Shipping so I nabbed it. Took me about an hour and a half/two hours to put together.
As said before the other two I want but they are insanely expensive.

One nice change that seems to be a more recent one is that some sets have the bags made of paper.

Yes, they are insanely expensive. Lego's are always good for Christmas though.
Lego company has this whole 'dollar amount per piece' logic they like to roll with?
But I dunno, they walk a fine line between 'extra' replacement pieces and 'fluff' pieces to get the part count up so they can charge the amount they want.
In the case of eevee for example, the tuft of fur around it's collar? Some of those parts could have been one big part, and some of them are, so yeah I'd love to pick lego company's brains on how they decide that.
