If you had to choose one main Theme for your next Fantasy watch, what would it be?

For me Good vs Evil and anything with Dragons is always top of my list
I sort of miss the 80's and 90's Fantasy I guess...nowadays everything seem to be saturated with gore, sex and violence. I loved the Fantasy Films of the 80-90's where there was more teaching about the important things in life, with more heart and made for a wider audience, so you could take your kids to watch it and have a great time all the Family together...Dragon Heart, the Never Ending Story, The Goonies, ET, Iron Giant....

Next fantasy watch?

Heck, I will take anything that leaves the woke at home at this point. That should be a low bar, but...it isn't.

I dont know. I am not sure I care about theme. I kind of care more that they have a good story, and do it well. Kudo's if they have something to say, and say it well.

I kind of like apocalypse and abandoned world stuff. They always get ruined with too many characters showing up, especially too early. I like survival, and bleak circumstances. I like seeing what people can endure, and how they endure it.

Good vs evil works for me.

Hey, yeah, 100% feel the same way about the woke stuff...box ticking has been the main ruin factor of todays cinema in my opinion.

I've just started watching this new series from the Duffer Brothers "The Boroughs", a bit off thread but it's really good so far. i loved Stranger Things, so when I so it coming up on Netflix I said, let's go! Not disappointed by it yet :)

You know dragon heart has five movies in their series? I bought them all as a package. I think I watched them all, but I can barely remember any of them.

For me is the 1996 the one I prefer. The First one with Dennis Quaid and Sean Connery among others. That was one of the first, if not the first, full Cg creature with full facial animation and lip-synch. It was done by Industrial Light & Magic, with Phil Tippett doing the design of Draco.

Yeah, of the many things I think that killed movies, CGI was big among them. Gone forever was the wonder at how they managed to do that.

Movies are pretty much dead. I don't think they will come back.

Anyway, hope still abounds. I've never been a fan of anti-heroes and the indifferent cruel universe. I am not sure I can answer what I want to see as a theme, but really just something that aims big and improves the conversation. I like the big themes, I wish we were talking more about things like, was there balance in the force, or what was the true conflict of LOTR--heck, I will even take was Prince Zuko really redeemed, but I don't see it in today's stuff. Aim high, ask good questions, show it... I'll go for it.
