I sort of miss the 80's and 90's Fantasy I guess...nowadays everything seem to be saturated with gore, sex and violence. I loved the Fantasy Films of the 80-90's where there was more teaching about the important things in life, with more heart and made for a wider audience, so you could take your kids to watch it and have a great time all the Family together...Dragon Heart, the Never Ending Story, The Goonies, ET, Iron Giant....For me Good vs Evil and anything with Dragons is always top of my list

AurorThis isn't an anime but there is a short film from the YouTube Channel Viva la dirt league called Baelin's Route. It takes place inside an MMORPG and follows an NPC character. Might be what you are looking for.Honestly I'd kill for an anime that accurately depicts MMO games both in plot and characters. (player characters included) I don't want it to just 'simulate' the story etc, I want the actual game elements to be involved somehow.
Log Horizon came VERY close, but they were cut short due to budget and some other unknown reason.
T.O.M.E. was very close too (If you're old enough to remember that) but I don't recall if it ever finished.
Sword Art Online apparently does it really well but I'm wary of watching anything overhyped by it's own fans.
