Legend of the Seeker

Hi,
I recently started watching, again, Legend of the Seeker. This show is based on Terry Goodkind's book, The Sword of Truth. It inspired me to start writing my novel 10 years; which now I'm working obsessively on. I was wondering what exactly from the show inspired me to write. It hasn't aged well, yet I realized the plot is what interested me. Perhaps I should read the novel for more inspiration. Has anyone else seen this show?

I've watched both seasons on DVD, it was a really cool series even if it was low budget, I don't mind that too much. Its a shame it didn't carry on for more seasons, the acting and plot was quite good. I actually picked up the books and got about four novels in before I gave up.
