Hi I’m looking for a creature. Not sure if one exists so maybe help create it??

So basically I’m at the part of the story where Maddox the antagonist finds out that Gemma (the only true Royal blood alive) is living in the real world. He wants to send a creature that can shift like it looks like a dog and then turns into a creature to capture her. Not sure what type of mythical creature I can use for this??
Any ideas?

There is the Aswang. It's an umbrella term of folklore creatures from Philippines that can turn into animals to stalk humans at night, and then turn back to their monstrous form to prey on them.

Could go with the irish/celtic Puca! They're shapshifting, mischievous sort of things that can be either good or bad.
