Any other fans of Brian Lumley's Necroscope series?

It's one of my favorite takes on vampires, has an awesome MC and is just so enjoyable. How enjoyable? Enjoyable enough that I got a tattoo on my left shoulder of the first book's cover when I was 17.

Nah, just a teen that thought a vampire skull looked bad-ass. Nothing noble.

The series however is very well written and a nice change with how the vampire mythos is approached. Very unique.

Tried reading it many years ago, but couldn't get into it.

Even back then I thought vampires were overdone.
