Hey everyone,
I never really thought about joining a writing forum but when I stumbled across Mythic Scribes I was blown away. Fantasy writing projects have always been something that I have worked on by myself, not wanting to share or bounce ideas off of people who don't share the same passion for fantasy as I do.
After looking through the forums here I am really excited to join a community of like-minded people.
About Me:
I am a recent journalism graduate living in Canada. During my time in J-school I spent two semesters as the sports editor of the school paper. I spent the final semester interning with a daily, working as a full-time sports reporter. My main task was covering the local major junior hockey team (Ontario Hockey League) but I also worked on high school/college teams as well as a couple columns and a weekly feature on a local athlete.
Although I'm happy with the success I've had in the world of sports journalism, I found that fantasy (my other true writing love) had taken a back seat. That obviously needed correcting.
As I'm sure most of you can relate to, the ideas that have formulated over the years have finally taken shape and, like a puzzle, the pieces have finally come together over the past months. The picture still isn't completely whole but it's almost there and I plan to start writing in the next couple of weeks. I have written plenty of fantasy short stories but this is my first time undertaking a full length project.
Being a part of the forums can only help my productivity and keep me sharp through my journey!
