Hello, I’ve been writing most of my life, mostly poems and such, just recently started to write short stories, my son is an aspiring film maker and is always looking for stories, so he pushes me to write, one of the biggest problems I have is coming up with names for my characters. One of my first stories I used a combination of names of friends and families, my style of writing is probably weird to some, I write with pen and paper first, my stories flow out of me, and I can’t type that fast! Then I go back and type it out, that’s usually my first edit where I change things

Welcome! Short stories are a great place to start, and good for you for keeping at it. I, too, use the pencil-and-paper route first, and then type later, so you're in good company.
