So is this new gmail 'feature' bugging anyone else?

When you're ordering something online.
Doesn't matter where from.
When said package is 'about' to arrive. (usually the day before)
Google mail takes suspiciously long to load.
And it's always for the same reason, a silly 'hey you have a neat surprise coming soon' advertisement.
I don't mind it, really, but I do find it a bit silly. Why did we need this feature? lol
I know first world problem esque thing to grumble about but I'm genuinely curious if anyone here has gotten it.

Myth Weaver
I dont really use Gmail, so I dont care. But...I don't need more spammy mail.

I dont have porch thieves (at least not in the many years I have been living here), so I can tell when the package arrived when I see it on the porch.

Eh it's my main email though I don't use it for much, mostly just tracking online purchases.

We don't have porch thieves in our area (Gated community) but I also don't like this approach.

The notification (like just an update email) in and of itself would be fine honestly, it's more that they make a silly 'show' about it AND it's 'spam'
I know it's kind of a 'old guy shaking fist at clouds' thing, but I just wanted to chat about it heh.
