I love the old web, the one where people shared knowledge and resources with sincerity and enthusiasm, without monetization (what a clumsy word). It still happens in odd corners, mostly buried under the avalanche of SEO and corporate interests. But I digress ... is it possible to digress before one even gets started?
So I stumbled across this site today
iapsop.com
They have a good description, though you might get a better idea at
iapsop.com/ssoc
It's a rich mine of works on spiritualism and the occult, from as early as 1531 up into the 1960s, though the collection drops off sharply after 1940. Next time someone starts talking about the Age of Reason as a historical epoch, invite them to browse this list.
Anyway, for someone like me looking for vocabulary and practice of astrology and the like prior to the 19th century, this was pure gold. If you've an interest, authorial or otherwise, in these subjects, be warned: this rabbit hole is miles long.
Also, for anyone who has lived in or around the area, well of course it comes out of Forest Grove. <g>
