Thinking Of Live Streaming

I'm not a gamer or a watcher of much YouTube, so I have no idea if anyone would watch.
If you want to give it a go, have at it and enjoy!

You might pick up a smattering. Ppl love their video games and new content is new content. Good luck with it.

My daughter might watch if it sims. But you probably wont know.

I just saw someone make a suggestion for going about this just today. The tip was to make about a dozen videos on a different platform than the one you're hoping to succeed at. So, like, start with Reels or something instead of Youtube. That way you can get some of the kinks out of your system before you post your first video where it matters. That first video will tell Youtube who your audience is, so if it inevitably flops because you've no idea what you're doing yet, it'll be much harder to gain any momentum. But a dozen videos in, you'll have a better idea of what's working for you and what's not.

That might be a good idea and might record some gameplay and post online before live streaming. Still I worry others won't want to watch.

Well, there's twitch, which is a platform dedicated to people (mainly) streaming them playing video games. So there definitely is a market for it. I'm not sure how big the market is.

However, I'm not sure that really matters. Bigger markets will have more streamers who take most of the viewership. In the end, as with all social media, expect to be talking to yourself for the first year. The people who succeed are not only good at what they do, but they're also willing to keep doing it even when no one is watching. It takes time and a lot of effort to get any kind of following.

Good luck with your venture. I'd say just start and see where it takes you. In then end, it's very well possible you end up doing something different from what you originally intended, just because you find that something else works better or that you like other things. Only 1 way to find out.

I know of twitch but prefer posting on YouTube. And still not sure others will watch me. Im just not popular. I guess I can just do it for fun then.

As for Youtube, this dropped in my feed the other day:

Viva La Dirt League (a big comedy channel with over 7 million subscribers on Youtube) is doing a comedy series based on the Sims games. So at least they think there's a group of people out there interested in watching stuff about the Sims...

As , Isomeone who watches streams on Twitch, I can say that you're right.
There are already a lot of streamers, and a lot of popular ones, so if you're new, it will be hard to attract an audience. But it's possible, it will just take some time, and you will need to give people something unique.
Some time ago I tried streaming myself, but I soon understood that it's not for me.
But it's for sure worth a shot!
