I've always had a penchant for M. Night's movies. But I'm just watching these films and sure there are things I could see to be improved upon. But in watching the last movie (spoiler: he made a "secret" trilogy) and reading the backstory. I just feel like this is a story the writer wanted to tell and he told it. It wasn't exactly what the audience wanted or expected but it is where he thought the story ought go, and it did. As a writer (in training), its a goal to see that this is possible and it excites me almost more than the movie itself did.
