What Are You Playing Now?

Totally understandable. It's just not your "cup of tea". The only Fallout I play is the originals on PC. (Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout: B.O.S.), so I do get what you mean. Ironically enough, I don't like GTA V and I doubt that I'll like GTA VI ( Even though I'm totally going to buy it because I own a copy of every GTA and it would drive me crazy to not have the complete collection 😂.) I'm the same way with novels, so you can probably imagine my utter disdain for G.R.R.M. 😆
I don't mind violence in a much more fantasy setting ( Something like Metroid for example) especially if proper blood/gutts aren't involved (sorry doom, I want to try you out but...) and it's all magic and clearly fantasy things.

When the game gets closer n closer to the real world though it starts to get uncomfy, it's why I avoid games like GTA and Resident Evil (Yes the zombies aren't real but the 'gun play' is pretty close haha) I don't mind watching other people play though. Just playing stuff like that myself feels awkward. Meanwhile I'm over here in my giant mech blasting away at an ultra beast larger than most skyscrapers haha.

As for what I'm playing currently.
Just Started an Amiibo Only run of Tears of the Kingdom. Fun, acceptable challenge run if you haven't tried it.
With a Side order of Monster Hunter Stories 3 and also trying to get the Pokemon Sword and Shield Living Pokedex for Base Game Locked In.

For many, many people, fantasy violence is much easier to handle than the kind that gets too close to irl type stuff, even over the top violence like Doom and Warhammer 40K can be too much. I respect that. The most important thing is to play the kinds of games that bring enjoyment, escape, and everything else that you want.

Anything 'else' made me chuckle (for obvious reason, though the only game I've played like that is Hunie Pop lol Started playing it ironically but the actual puzzle matching game was fun so I stayed around and finished it. Haven't touched it since but it was a fun romp. Can't say I approve of the rest of the content but the actual game was ok.) but yeah, I play games to escape hehe.

There's not really a whole ton I need to escape FROM but I like having an outlet to do that. The things I do need to escape from are more just health stuff. And minor things that are a cause of me being me. (Medicine I take helps but not always)
