The Birds of Corvus is a fantasy/fairytale-style novel. The story centers around the relationship between Asha, a mortal young woman and the daughter of the village herb witch, and Darrah, the Crow Lord and the most reclusive of the forest gods. The story invests itself in the dynamic between these characters, showcasing both the positives and negatives of classic mythology when mortal and immortal find not only friendship but romance – and therefore tragedy – in the setting of an old-world European-inspired village with an atmosphere of awe and wonder of a Studio Ghibli film. Or at least that's what I put down as its artistic description for a presentation.
