Hello. :)

I'm an aspiring writer and I'm here to talk with others like myself. And pickup whatever skills and advice that I can gain from other, and hopefully return the favor, if only as somebody to bounce ideas off of. I'd like to make a graphic-novel, however since I can not draw that just leaves the novel part. So what's my great Idea? I mean to fuse Epic Fantasy and Space Opera; because you can't make me chose between sword and blaster!:furious:

Welcome to Mythic Scribes, Logos&Eidos. Ignore Feo, we all know there are more ways to use epic fantasy and space opera than just Star Wars.

Have you tried attempting to draw the stuff as a graphic novel? Even if you're not very good, the process of drawing it will give you plenty of practice in developing your drawing skills, if a graphic novel is indeed the best way to tell the story. Posting it online as a webcomic, page by page would give you the opportunity to draw enough interest to try and attract a better artist for the next story - or have enough artistic skill to do it yourself better in the next one.

So umm, this is a total shot in the dark and may be way off, but are you a Johnnie? And if that makes no sense to you, you aren't. The user name's got me wondering tho'.

Someone who went to St. john's college and studied ancient greek and philosophy and spends the first half of freshman year talking about the logos and the eidos of pretty much everything. By senior year everyone has moved onto dialectic.

Not a formal student of the Greeks and their philosophy, I picked up a lot of the stuff I know by accident really. Words and Ideas are really what I'm about.
