does anybody know a free or ecoonomic way to boost twiter followers so by timev my book comes out i have enough followers

Use hash tags, talk about current events, and think about adding "oh Snap!" as a friend if you post anything that starts with or ends with "#Oh Snap!" the bot will retweet it to all it's followers, instant connections.

Also friend book agents, avid readers, publishers, and other writers.
I'm on twitter too! my ID is @SivasMonkey. Add me as a friend and then go through my followers list and add as many people as you like.

I don't really care much for twitter but that is just me. Most people post useless crud on there. But then again so do most facebookers...

Never said it wasn't hard work But Lotus has it down. Add follow people you have a connection, if they like you, you may get followed back. Hash tags, etc.

I'll "third" The Blue Lotus. Send out a lot of tweets of substance, talking about current events, other books, publishing, or whatever, and use hash tags.

For example, now that I have two more reviews of my book (thanks to JC and Robert Bevan), I sent out a tweet saying I had two more reviews, included the URL to the book, and used the hashtag #childrensbooks

And to "complete the circle" so to speak I shall eventually be tweeting the reviews I do (link to, with more hash tags). Problem being no followers, but lets be honest you need to saying things in order for people to follow.

I'll put it this way. Visits to my blog increase in line with the amount of activity I put into it combined with the amount I connect with people (Ie, give them a reason to visit it)

So. In twitter terms:

1) Tweet interesting things.

2) let people know you're on twitter (being on a forum like Scribes is perfect for this, you have the chance to make friends before twitter even comes into the equation. Very useful.) If no one knows you're on it, you won't get followers. So get spread the word.

If you do it right, and keep active, then you should see at least slow increase in followers. I can't say it'll be monumental, but if you don't advertise the fact you "occasionally say interesting things on twitter" then you may as well be dropping pennys in the ocean.

EDIT: Don't make it all about the book, all the time. That'll probably annoy people. Not a good thing.

While I don't know much about your condition I can understand how you feel, I'm dyslexic. But it can be done, you just have to work harder than most! GL!

You know whom else I follow and have the occasional tweet exchange with...Movie stars, politicians ect. They have a lot of followers thus I get at least 1 from every exchange I do have.

it is similar to dyslexia some consider it a type of dyslexia now my new question is just me who cant get twitter anymore i get page like internet connnection down but everywhere else i go it is fine i is also a learninfg disability first paret got past by speach therapist the second resurfaced after 10 years of more lack of writing

the mostly common traight about dtspraxia it can crossover into other disabilities such as add and such which i think is true in my case since can't conerntatrate for long on one thing . on side note twitter was working for me till few moments ago sigh just as i was learning

From what I understand of Dyspraxia it is a neurological disorder presenting in early childhood, giving the affected issues with movement and concentration amungst other things. Yes I have heard that most people with this condition also suffer from Dyslexia as well as Dyscalculia. This could be because all of the above conditions steam from a defect in forged neuro pathways? I'm just speculating. I don't know.

Occupational, Speech and Physical Therapists can improve a person's ability to function, and just remember in your case to take it nice and slow, you may have to edit more than others but writing is a lot like acrylic nails. It really does not matter how crappy the job starts out looking, you can file it down until it is just right!
Don't give up ok.

Edit: We are just wired a little differently. That by no means makes you any less capable than the next guy.

i come to realze but now i wear my disbility like badge because i am proud of who i am one thing that never worked for is personal orginization yep another sympton my brain can't handle that but everytime i try my brains shuts down most thought i have mental break down so now i write organiseas i go basically i have to write freestyle no choice in the matter cvan never plot no matter how i want to. funnily though i can hold rough guides mentally. i have too much stuff up thre but it works for me i guess
