New Quick Crit Group

We all have little time. Little time enough to write our own things. So, I got this idea from something someone posted here a while back. I think they said Orson Scott Card does this method of critiquing. So from the maker of Mythic Scribes Blood Pact, comes Mythic Scribes Quick Crit! (trademark sign...)

These will be the only marks you make on a story:

1. ? (confusing)
2. Zzz... (boring)
3. :) or !(great, awesome, funny, good)
4. X (typo, grammar problem, sentence structure, etc.)

These will all be put in bold, or red so the writer can see the marks easily.

Something like that?

For those of us that don't want a lot of feedback, but just want to get some quick, unfiltered reactions to what we're writing and figuring out what needs to be fixed, I think this could be an excellent, quick way of critiquing works. If anyone is interested in joining this "quick critique" group, let me know. Thick-skinned members only!

I'll post a section in the Showcase if we get enough members and people can post excerpts of their stories there. I repeat again thick-skinned members only. If you don't like a bit of tough love, then don't join. This is for the fearless!

The bold & red colored text won't work on many mobile devices... Is there another option?

Sorry, I didn't think of that. How about do this :!: or this :?:. Use colons to offset your marks. If you can think of a better way, I'm open to suggestions.

So we have 3 confirmed (4 counting me) and 5 if T. Allen Smith is interested. I'll post the rules in the Showcase and then you guys can post your stories there. I think using one thread for this is enough. Try to offer critiques (or marks?) to each story listed. I don't have anything to post at the moment, so whoever wants to be first, go for it.

Link below that goes to the Showcase thread:
