Karlin
Sage
It's taken about two years, but finally got a first draft finished. The novel is not really fantasy, more like magical realism. Everything in the book could happen, but a god helps push things along.
Now I have to edit it, first on my own. I know what's wrong: pacing, shifts of tone, unclear geography, stuff that will confuse the reader, plot holes (did I leave anything out?). The plan is to fix what I can, have a few family members or friends read it, and fix it again. Then I'll send it to a professional editor (someone I found on Fiverr, and have worked with in the past). Fortunately I can afford to pay someone to help me with this.
There are months of work on this still. I'll start writing the next one soon, but only after I've finished a first edit.
